The map is continuously updated based on official publications by DSOs and Red Eléctrica (REE). Email alerts and last update timestamps ensure users are always in sync with the latest changes to the grid.

Advanced Multi-Source Data Pipeline

Our backend data engine performs a sophisticated and automated extraction and integration process. The application scans and processes the official documents published by all relevant grid operators in Spain. Through what could technically be described as a multi-source data ingestion and harmonization pipeline, it merges, formats, and spatially transforms this information—ensuring full compatibility and comparability across different providers and geographical reference systems.

Layered Visualization & Dynamic Filtering Tools

Each node comes with a detailed popup that not only displays real-time access capacity but also includes an embedded interactive chart showing the historical evolution of available capacity over the past several months.

A filter sidebar enhances the usability of the map, allowing users to interact with powerful filters without leaving the view. From this sidebar, it’s possible to filter substations by available capacity, type in the name of a substation to locate it quickly or apply filters based on the monthly delta of available capacity. Thislas filter enables users to isolate only those substations where capacity has been unlocked recently, making it especially valuable for developers searching for new interconnection opportunities as they arise.

Another layer of sophistication is provided by the ability to distinguish nodes by provider. Each distribution company and the transmission system operator is represented as a separate layer, giving users full control over what they wish to analyze at any given time.

Automated Monitoring & Notification System

Beyond the visual and analytical tools, the map incorporates a real-time document change detection system. This feature monitors the DSO and REE websites and flags any changes in the capacity documentation. When such a change is detected, the platform logs the exact date of update, sends a notification to subscribed users, and provides direct links to the new documents. This system removes the need for manual monitoring, freeing up time for developers and consultants while increasing responsiveness to market changes.
